Traditional Tantra yoga
This class is a slow paced class for all levels of fitness and flexibility. There is no such thing as "not flexible enough for yoga£! Postures are punctuated with long expansive breaths and a relaxing exhalation training your system to relax with each breath. The class can provide a practice complimenting other fitness activities or just a quiet hour in the week to gain perspective and peace. Practised regularly the Tantra postures build strength, flexibility and grace.
The Virginia Gallery has yoga mats to borrow or bring your own with some comfortable clothes and a jumper or blanket.
The yoga style (a body balancing/harmonising series) is part of a wider system of Tantra from India. The Tantra system also includes philosophy about many aspects of living like spirituality, creation, sexuality and relationships. This class is just focussed on learning to love your body, relax and harmonise physically and mentally.
Drop in prices are £8 for full time workers, £5 concession Mailing list members can get 5 drop in classes for £20 or attend both classes: Monday 6pm at In The Moment 72 Berkely st and Thursday 5.45pm at The Virginia Gallery, Virginia Street for a monthly price of £30.
