The Sun and Moon is a specialised service offering hatha yoga tuition and meditation to groups and individuals in the Gateshead and Newcastle areas. I've been running regular evening classes for beginners and improvers at Whickham Community Centre since 2004 with a special focus on the restorative aspects of yoga and meditation to promote health and well-being. I’ve had wide experience of teaching people with many particular health conditions, including sessions for people with limited mobility e.g. in wheelchairs, and taken part in medical research to show the benefits provided by the practice of yoga. I’ve also been running Creative Yoga Workshops since 2006. These look at imaginative ways of bringing yoga naturally into everyday life. These are quite relaxed workshops, spent in the company of friendly, like-minded people. I'm a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher. (The British Wheel of Yoga is recognised by the Central Council for Physical Recreation (CCPR) and Sport England as the national governing body for yoga. ) I'm also a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals.
