Yapana™ (Yaw-pa-na), an Ancient Sanskrit Word Meaning the Support and Extension of Life.
Yapana yoga practice is an innovative blend of vinyasa flow to warm and prepare the body for poses that are held dynamically and restoratively using props for therapeutic support. Developed and presently exclusively by Leeann Carey Yoga, Yapana practice is easily modified and adapted to meet the individual needs of students at all levels of experience and skill.
The seven Yapana master intensives provide the yoga instructor with a unique set of skills and the opportunity for advanced 500 RYT yoga certification and Yapana yoga teacher certification. Three-day intensives (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) include Foundation, Developing the Eye, Mapping the Body, Structural Assessment, Anatomy: Form & Function and Stretch One-On-One. The Therapeutic Partner Practice module is two days.
Each intensive includes off-site homework. Fees range from $245 for a 2-day module and $345 for a 3-day module based on 30-day advance registration. Intensive hours are typically Friday from 5pm – 9pm and Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 6pm, but may vary depending on location. Each intensive offers Yoga Alliance and ACE continuing education credits.
