Mysore Style’ Ashtanga is named after the birth place of Ashtanga yoga, Mysore, India. In this All Levels class, the student is taught a sequence of postures by a qualified instructor. Once the student memorizes these poses, the practice becomes self paced and the teacher helps the student find a deeper understanding of each pose through assists and adjustments. As the student’s practice gets stronger, poses are added to further challenge the students mind and body and take them deeper into the practice. This is a flowing Vinyasa practice. Depending on the student, this practice can be strong & vigorous and provide full body conditioning or the student can focus fully on the breath & immerse themselves into the meditative quality of the practice.
