This pregnancy yoga class aims to support women to connect to their innate birthing wisdom through gentle yoga postures, movement, breath awareness and relaxation. Yoga can help alleviate many common ailments in pregnancy such as back ache, heart burn, swelling of the joints and anxiety. Become familiar with breath work and mindful movement and explore how you can use the practice to meet the natural emotional and physical demands and fluctuations of pregnancy. Yoga postures help to keep the body strong yet supple, open and grounded. Breath awareness helps to keep the mind focused and calm. Whilst there can be no guarantee of the ‘desired’ birthing experience, the practice can help women prepare for labour and birth in a positive, gentle and accepting way through equanimity.
