Moving off the Yoga Mat™ An expressive arts approach to yoga that will enrich your yoga/life art practice. Expressive arts can help us understand our anatomical patterns, emotional responses and cognitive/imaginal thinking. All of our life experiences are stored in our bodies and the modalites of expressive arts and authentic movement can be very healing. We can enjoy these fun activities with no stress. Through moving & art making we can get close to our sensations, posture, gesture, emotion and thought in concrete ways. Maybe the creative experiences off the mat will increase your awareness of how your own personal movements can inform your yoga practice on the mat.
