We teach a Yoga and Pilates Fusion classes. Pilates and Yoga are complimentary disciplines. The classes have the Vinyasa Flow movement, with some held Yoga postures which build static strength and flexibility. The faster paced movements of Pilates, give you dynamic muscle work.
Both disciplines arrive at the same point of using the breath to control the mind and body.We use the Pilates and Yogic idea of centering with the deep transverse abdominals and combine this with the Yogic Ujjayi breath (‘victorious breath’).
