Mary Barnes, Director of YOGA FOR TWO, is one on New York's most energetic and well-respected instructors. Anusara-Inspired and RYT 500, Mary has been teaching since 1990, and specializing in prenatal and postpartum yoga since 1993. Combining the knowledge of doctors, childbirth educators,and other yoga and fitness specialists, she developed the Barnes Method and a series of workshops for pregnant women and new mothers. Mary also offers workshops which instruct yoga teachers to confidently work with pregnant women and new mothers in their open yoga classes. Mary has trained extensively with John Friend and other certified Anusara Yoga instructors, including extensive yoga therapeutics. Her greatest teachers, however, have been the hundreds of women who have taken her workshops since 1993.
