Kelly's classes are primarily taught at the Pacific Cultural Institute in Santa Cruz. Kelly began studying Iyengar Yoga in 1989, and completed the Mt. Madonna Teacher Training in 1997, integrating Iyengar alignment techniques into a primarily vinyasa approach to practice. Her practice has been shaped deeply by her study with her beloved teacher Kofi Busia, to whom she is grateful for teaching her patience and faith. Kelly also spent 10 years studying Anusara yoga, and has great faith in the principles of alignment despite being no longer affiliated with Anusara. She is deeply inspired and enlivened by the practice of Yoga, which is infectious to her students. Her constant reminder is: Watch the mind, focus on the uninterrupted flow of the breath, and delight in the Great Web of Being. Kelly provides ample personalized attention and adjustment, addressing the concerns of individuals while guiding the class in a deep and transformative practice. She also leads retreats to Hawaii, Costa Rica and Mexico.
