I received my teacher training and certification in 1994. I am a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance. My teaching draws heavily on the viniyoga tradition, which stresses breath, flow, and comfort in the postures in order to quiet the mind, reduce stress, and steady the inner being, while simultaneously enhancing strength and flexibility. I prefer small classes (12 or less), in which I can focus on working with each student to address his or her own individual physical, emotional, and spiritual issues through yoga. My goal is to help my students tune into the wisdom of their own bodies and minds and learn how to use breathing, asanas, and meditation to increase their well being.
