Director of Ananda Ashram is Yogamani Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani the senior most disciple and wife of Yoga Maharishi Dr Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaj. Guru Kula setting and introduction to the culture of South India is the speciality of this centre. 6 month and 1 year teacher training courses are offered annually for the last 35 years. Short term courses are available for tourists for a duration of ten days upon prior contact. Yoga Life is the official journal of the Ananda Ashram that is in its 35th year. Yoganjali Natyalayam is the cultural wing of the ashram with a performing troupe of Bharata Natyama dancers and musicians of professional standard.
