Menla Mountain Retreat Center

Set in the heart of the historic Catskill Mountains of New York State and surrounded by a national forest preserve, the retreat center offers complete privacy in a tranquil setting. Its modern and comfortable facilities on 320 acres are an ideal setting for yoga retreats and teacher trainings. For over a century this secluded valley at the foot of Pantherkill Mountain has been a source of renewal and inspiration.

The Kessler Yoga Studio is Menla's premiere yoga space. Located in a secluded meadow and fully stocked with yoga mats, blankets, and props, the 1,760 square foot studio features a bamboo floor and floor to ceiling windows; it is an exquisite space for yoga practice.

For larger groups, the Main Hall in the Nalanda Conference center is 4,048 square feet, with oak floors and radiant heat. The Lhasa Cafe and lounge are located withing the Nalanda Conference Center for relaxing and socializing during breaks.

The Vintage Barn has high vaulted ceilings and oak hardwood floors. At 1,680 square feet, the Barn is suitable for medium-sized groups and programs.

The Sanctuary, built specifically for contemplative workshops, is an exquisite setting for a more intimate experience. This seven-sided wooden structure with floor to ceiling windows is 900 square feet and features mountain views.

Menla can house up to 100 guests in a variety of eco-friendly housing options, including camping. Three gourmet vegetarian meals are served daily. Other highlights include: wellness services; fitness center; swimming pool; tennis courts; sauna; hiking trails.
