For 40 years, the Yoga Farm has been teaching classical yoga, a holistic form of yoga, year round. People of all ages
and backgrounds find something unique. The Yoga Farm's Daily Schedule provides two yoga asana classes, two guided silent meditation sessions, two kirtan sessions, two lectures on yoga and related topics, and two organic, vegetarian meals. The Yoga Farm is located on 80 acres of beautiful countryside in the Sierra foothills. The Yoga Farm environment is conducive to rapid progress in regaining health, energy, and peace of mind through relaxation, rejuvenation, diet and exercise, breath work, study, and positive thinking. Yoga for Fitness Studio offers Hatha (Iyengar) and Ashtanga (Power) style Yoga classes taught in a multi-level format
with safe modifications and is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. The Yoga classes teach traditional yoga principles and techniques to provide a complete workout for the mind and body. Our Yoga does not adhere to any particular philosophy, religion or type of meditation. There is no chanting, Sanskrit words, or religious connotations used. The Yoga workouts combine deep breathing, stretching, strength & balance, cardiovascular exercise and a meditation/”cool down” session.
Susan's yoga practice has been ongoing for over 40 years; in 1996 she started teaching yoga. Susan is a fully certified
yoga therapist. New classes are starting including Easy-Gentle Yoga with chairs; call for more information. What else is new? Yoga in your home; you can now invite 7 to 8 people to come to your home and Susan will come to your home for you and your friends. These classes can be a one-time fun event or on-going classes; Susan's 2, 3 and 4 hour workshops are options for those who want more. Yoga at home is a great way to bring fun to a family gathering, or a way to get friends to exercise with you!
