Self Enquiry Life Fellowship is a spiritual nonprofit organization based in Santa Barbara, CA. The president and guiding
light of the organization is Swami Vidyadhishananda, who hails from two distinct regions of the Himalayan mountains.
We have heard about extraordinary monks through scriptural anecdotes and in spiritual stories. We have also known that it is rare for great monks from Himalaya to come down from the mountains and roam amongst us. We are blessed to have darshan of one such monk, Swami Vidyadhishananda, who is a unique combination of a yogi, mystic and scholar. His Holiness is an epitome of India?s ancient masters and his discourses combine philosophical clarity with the serene divinity of his humble presence. He is an ordained Himalayan monk of the Vedanta tradition hailing from the ?Giri? monastic order. He trained under the tutelage of Himalayan Masters and is connected with esoteric lineages of the Himalayan yoga traditions that have been in continuous practice since Vedic antiquity.
His Holiness belongs to the spiritual lineage of the KriyaYoga Masters including Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Yogananda, the author of Autobiography of a Yogi. Swami Vidyadhishananda was taught directly by Paramahamsa Hariharananda who was a direct disciple of Swami Shriyukteshwar Giri. In 2006, His Holiness was awarded the degree of Mahamahopadhyay, which literally means Great Ordained Teacher. This rare honour is only given to a few outstanding individuals after a lifetime of service to the Sanskritic and philosophical heritage. The degree is one of the highest accolades conferred in India through the university system.
His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda offers spiritual guidance and teachings to seekers of all denominations.
