Intro Intermediate and Advanced classes in Yoga and Sanskrit
April Vihilidal teaches the yoga classes and the Sanskrit
classes. She is translating the Holy Science word for word from the original Sanskrit written by Sri Yukteswarji into English. She has written a work book for that purpose. It is available for sale at her yoga studio. Learn to chant the Holy Science in Sanskrit every Sunday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Learn Sanskrit Sunday mornings from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
Shannon first discovered yoga 20 years ago and immediately recognized how much it improved her mind/body balance.
Shannon has used yoga as a tool to help in all three of her pregnancies as well as turmoil that sometimes life has to offer. She began her first teacher training in 2007 with Yogafit but mid training she was called to adventure and moved to Brazil for 5 years for a rough yet transformational spiritual journey. Besides playing in waterfalls and with gigantic hummingbirds and butterflies, she studied with Shamans, dabbled in mysticism and holistic healing methods including essential oils, herbs and crystals, taught yoga and became a certified Reiki Master Teacher. She returned to the U.S. in 2012 to live in the Cuyamaca mountains where she loves to hike and continues to play in waterfalls. In 2015 she graduated from Nature's Whisper 200 hour teacher training. Shannon believes in the transformational power that yoga and Reiki have had on her and hopes to share that with anyone open to receive. She uses Reiki and Essential Oils as complements in her yoga classes.

San Marcos Yoga uses a systematic progression of poses, as taught by yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar, to develop individual
ability. Instruction is adapted so each person can participate at their own level. Precise words, props and demonstration help facilitate learning for people of all ages and physical abilities. As a result, even within the class, each person’s practice becomes singular and personal. The objective is to cultivate this endeavor for health and wellbeing.
