The studio offers 5 public classes a week plus private instruction. Also workshops with Senior teachers of the Iyengar
method. Gail has been teaching since 1984. She has a compassionate approach that makes her very available to students of all levels. She encourages students to listen to the body's innate wisdom and allow that to guide one deeper into the practice.
My Yoga practice began at age 15, when I was overweight and already suffering from severe back pain. I was already
vegetarian and studying Herbalism, so I knew Yoga was the logical next step. And as is the case for sooo many others, it gradually transformed my life!
That was 1999 and I have been practicing daily ever since. I began teaching in 2004 and finally got my certification in 2009. I study Hatha Yoga and do not adhere to a specific style (such as Bikram, Kundalini, or Iyengar). I feel strongly that all styles have something valuable to offer everyone, and everyone has a particular style that fits them best at particular times. With this in mind, I utilize my schooling in Herbalism and Ayurveda in my teaching extensively. My private 1 on 1 classes involve not only asanas (poses), but overall analysis of my student’s whole physical constitution.
I specialize in back problems and Pre-natal, as well as how to advance further for intermediate students. I also avidly study Yoga’s spiritual background and I am happy to share this knowledge with others (but only if asked!).
Yoga is now my way of life. I take the ancient teachings into account in every decision or obstacle I encounter, and my life is only getting better and better because of it! Also, I must say… greatly increased balance, flexibility, strength, stamina, and steadiness of mind are also a good bonus!:)
Check out the schedule for my home studio on Facebook at Shiva Sai Mandir Manitou Springs or at Brian Kleiner Yoga
teaching at Shiva Mandir, I offer private and corporate classes for extremely reasonable rates. My focus as a yoga teacher is to guide the student along the eight-fold path of Yoga. In lieu of this, I also teach meditation, lead weekly Satsangs and Pujas, and offer Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras study groups.
Pranava Yoga Center is built on a foundation of the ancient and traditional practices of the 8 Limb path of yoga,
but we are a new generation of yogis. We focus on cultivating deeper awareness and connection in the body, mind, soul, and heart. While we hold the traditions close and believe in living our yoga, we can be rebellious at times, so we are able to let go too. We believe in the power of humor, lightness, having fun, and not taking things too seriously, but we also believe in being disciplined in the practice. We believe that a higher state of well-being can be attained through a steady yoga practice. We teach all ages and all walks of life. We are passionate about yoga and we not only talk the talk, but we walk our talk. We love yoga and we want you to be inspired by the practice!
I teach a Hatha blend called Moving Meditations. It's a slow flow class with a strong emphasis on personal awareness,
philosophy, breath and integration. It can be physically vigorous or not. I stress that each student should make it their own. I don't focus on the postures as the goal of attainment, but rather using the physical postures on the mat as a practice for our life off our mats; which as we know is sometimes a difficult path. I do like to play with the poses and encourage students to have fun.
Yoga Delight is a slow flow Hatha yoga which focuses on enhancing flexibility, strength, and balance. Yoga Delight
reduces stress and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Great for participants of all ages and skill levels. I currently instruct Yoga Delight at the Southeast YMCA, in southern Colorado Springs, as well as in local elementary schools! Come and enjoy the many benefits of Yoga Delight! Namaste!
Three Key Yoga Colorado Springs, is a supportive studio, with a non-competitive atmosphere. It's a place where individuals
