We aim to serve our community
through Yoga and wellness education services, with each professional committed to embodying a spirit of cooperation and community outreach.
The purpose of the Co-op is to create opportunities for personal growth, health, inspiration and transformation. A Peace of Space will host Yoga classes, workshops, gatherings and any other community activity or Healing Art that will foster Wellness, Vitality, Peace, Love, Healing and Happiness.

off exit 82 from route 395, with ample parking. We offer: Group classes; one to one yoga therapy, Senior classes at Rose City Senior Center; Prenatal classes; Yoga Tune Up®; workshops for Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra, Partner yoga, Ayurveda, yoga Sutras study, meditation and more. The many tools of Yoga are adaptable for ANYONE with the desire and interest. We also offer individual consultations to develop a personal practice, and create workshops for schools (staff or students) and businesses. Nancy Alder is a 200H E-RYT who shares her yoga in the Northeastern corner of Connecticut. Nancy’s approach blends
what she has learned from her teachers Anne and Matt Falkowski of Samadhi Yoga Studio, Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal, Sadie Nardini, Leslie Kaminoff, Anna Guest-Jelley, Jillian Pransky and Joe Barnett along with her own personal yoga practice. She is certified in Therapeutic Yoga, Curvy Yoga , Yin Yoga and is studying Restorative Yoga. She is co-founder of the Connecticut Therapeutic Yoga Center. Her classes are a blend her different trainings with a ton of laughter, community and heart. The emphasis she places on safety, strength and breath allows her classes to be accessible to students of all levels of yoga. She reminds students to find their wings by through acceptance, understanding and appreciating their own boundaries as gifts. Encouraging students to step away from the shazam and into their own space with dashes of humor and honesty sets her classes apart from others.
Nancy regularly writes about yoga for the nationally recognized yoga blogs YogaDork and Elephant Journal and her work has also been featured on MindBodyGreen, Gaiam, Sweeping Zen, Intent and Recovering Yogi. She is the co-founder of Teachasana, the first site for yoga teachers by yoga teachers. Her quest for finding yoga in all aspects of her life is chronicled in her popular blog, Flying Yogini. She has been featured twice in Origin Magazine’s “Inspire Series” and her yoga projects have been highlighted by Yoga Journal‘s online blog.
