Mystic Arts Center is the vibrant hub connecting community, creative expression and rich artistic heritage. The mission
of the Mystic Arts Center is to foster the creation, understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of the arts through exhibitions, education programs and cultural collaborations. The Mystic Arts Center is open year-round, seven days a week. MAC organizes approximately 14 exhibitions a year in our galleries and also offers educational and cultural programming for the community, including art classes, lectures, trips, creative social hours, school programs, performing arts and Yoga and Art for children. Our Yoga and Art class is for children ages 4 - 10 and is currently taught by Katie Ziskind. Katie is certified through Yoga Alliance and teaches children’s yoga at various regional organizations in addition to the MAC. Each class includes instruction in traditional yoga poses and related art-making in our studios. Kris, a Leading Teacher and Teacher Trainer for Master Yoga Teaching Institute, is a certified Svaroopa Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist and Embodyment Therapist. She is available for private sessions and group functions, both in Niantic, CT and in your own space.
