Yoga for Fitness Studio offers Hatha (Iyengar) and Ashtanga (Power) style Yoga classes taught in a multi-level format
with safe modifications and is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. The Yoga classes teach traditional yoga principles and techniques to provide a complete workout for the mind and body. Our Yoga does not adhere to any particular philosophy, religion or type of meditation. There is no chanting, Sanskrit words, or religious connotations used. The Yoga workouts combine deep breathing, stretching, strength & balance, cardiovascular exercise and a meditation/”cool down” session.
Yoga for the Rest of Us classes are peacful, pleasant classes, designed to the needs of Seniors, but available to
anyone over the age of 18. These classes are free to the public, though students register to attend. Students are warmly welcomed by Renee Neal, a Sierra College instructor with over 21 years of experience in teaching mind/body fitness classes.
Stephanie has been a certified yoga instructor since 2005. She has combined her studies and styles of yoga to form
a unique class she calls Sacred Paths. This light-hearted and creative class uses music, sound and flowing rhythm to open students to the experience of prana: the vital "life-force" or bio-energy that keeps the body alive and in good health. She guides students in vinyasas (yoga flow) to awaken the deep connection of their Inner Rhythms, Spirit and the Earth. The class also includes: ~Proper Breathing (pranayama) ~Meditation (dhyana) ~Proper Alignment of Poses (asanas) ~Positive Thinking (vedanta) ~Yoga Chants (mantras) ~Proper Relaxation (svasana) ~and focus on the eight limbs of yoga

Susan's yoga practice has been ongoing for over 40 years; in 1996 she started teaching yoga. Susan is a fully certified
yoga therapist. New classes are starting including Easy-Gentle Yoga with chairs; call for more information. What else is new? Yoga in your home; you can now invite 7 to 8 people to come to your home and Susan will come to your home for you and your friends. These classes can be a one-time fun event or on-going classes; Susan's 2, 3 and 4 hour workshops are options for those who want more. Yoga at home is a great way to bring fun to a family gathering, or a way to get friends to exercise with you!
