Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a highly effective method of Asana practice, which quickly builds strength, increases flexibility and clears toxins out of the body. This method includes numerous sequences of Asanas(yoga postures). Vinyasa (fluid movements, which are initiated by either the inhaling or exhaling breath) link one posture to another. The practice of Asana with Vinyasa stimulates the cardiovascular system and creates heat in the body, which eases the body into the Asanas. Caroline Klebl is a dedicated Yoga instructor, who learned the Ashtanga Vinyasa method over the course of 9 years from Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. She studied Ayurveda, Yoga Philosophy and Sanskrit in Kerala and Karnataka. Her Yoga Teacher Training is an internationally recognized certification course, which is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 and 500 hour level. This teacher training combines the high standards of practice, required by the Ashtanga Vinyasa System with the development of teaching skills necessary to introduce students to Ashtanga Yoga safely and effectively. This course is open to yoga teachers, aspiring teachers and yoga practitioners.
An Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Manual is supplied to each participant. To those who attend all scheduled classes, a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate is issued at the end of the course.

I have been committed to yoga since 1975 and have studied with
many great teachers. I am a certified yoga therapist. Since 2010 my teaching and practice have been influenced by Aston Kinetics. Finding neutral is one of the Aston principles because it enhances one's freedom to move into various poses with strength, ease, greater range of motion, and balance. The breath is of course integral to the process. Cooperative movement throughout the body in flexion and extension, a deeper understanding of release into and push off from the base of support, weight transfer, and using leverage to keep the greatest possible internal dimension in body--all of these principles and more are put into practice in different ways in postures and movements, giving more aliveness to yoga practice. I systematically teach these principles of Aston Kinetics to yoga students one person at a time. I am grateful that this method has given my students and me more skill in avoiding damage to joints, tendons and ligaments and more ability to overcome limitations brought on by age and injury. YogaWorks method my classes are taught in a Vinyasa style that links breath with movement. The intent is to allow the prana, or life energy, to move more freely in the body and gently soften tight areas and still the mind. Bhaktivedanta Yoga classes include guided deep relaxation, Surya Namaskara (the sun salutation flow of postures to
warm the body), Pranayama (expansive breathing practices), and at least 12 main classical Hatha yoga postures (asanas) that regulate all of the functions of the physical body as well as purify the Astral channels (Nadis) and balance one's life force (Prana). The yoga class environment provides an ideal situation for the transformational powers of meditation to take place, as well as a healing, deep relaxation that can restore health and well being. During deep relaxation, students are serenaded by the singing of healing mantras and devotional songs (bhajans) accompanied by the heavenly sounds of harmonium (portable organ) performed by Yoga Praveena Vishnu Das.
All are welcome to attend. There are no levels in Bhaktivedanta Yoga classes because true progress is marked by a subtle inner spiritual process rather than just by greater flexibility or physical stamina.
