Hello! I am an E500-RYT500 Yoga Teacher and Teacher Trainer with an emphasis on Yin Yoga. After years of teaching
yin yoga in both studio, private and corporate classes, holding several workshops about the practice of yin yoga, I now offer teacher trainings (either 10 or 15 hour) to yoga teachers and inspired students nationwide. I've studied with the founders of yin yoga, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers and also with Joe Barnett (Paul Grilley's senior teacher.) This training is eligible for 10 (or 15) hours of Yoga Alliance CE credit for those teachers registered with Yoga Alliance. I am located in Orange County, CA, but I can bring my training to YOUR studio for a weekend workshop! Check out my website for events, kind words from past and present students, and my current teaching schedule here in Southern California. Contact me today for more information!
Find Your Zen classes have a two prong approach. On the athletic side classes tend to focus on opening up the muscles
regularly used in running, cycling, and other athletic activities. Christina has also developed classes to relax and restore with more of a therapeutic approach. She incorporates aspects of anatomy information, synchronizing breath and movement, and focus on intentions to calm the mind and bring positive thoughts into each class. We also offer both prenatal and postnatal classes and specialize in yoga for populations dealing with injuries or disease.
YAS Fitness Center was founded in 2001 by Kimberly Fowler, a triathlete and health and fitness expert, looking for
a way to make yoga more relevant to athletes. YAS attracts strong, powerful and capable people looking for another way to strengthen and push their physical bodies. YAS instructors do not want to be anyone's guru, they want to share their experiences with yoga and in-door cycling to help students build strength and flexibility. Join us at YAS for some hard work and fun, and meet other like-minded people using yoga to improve their athletic performance. Kimberly offers her signature YOGA for ATHLETES, a one-hour class focused on yoga poses geared to help an athlete with his or her performance in any sport. YOGA for ATHLETES focuses on the areas of the body that are the most used and thus the tightest and most injury prone for athletes - the hips, knees, lower back and shoulders. The class is packed with movement start to finish in an effort to give students a great workout, and build strength and flexibility.
