Melissa Weipert, founder and owner of Top of the Mat Yoga, was introduced to yoga in 2008 while working at a local
gym in Swansboro, North Carolina. It opened her mind and heart up to exploring it further and she decided to attend Porters Neck Yoga & Spa 200-hour teacher training in March 2010 and is RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. She taught numerous classes in Jacksonville, Swansboro, and Surf City. Her style of yoga and teachings accommodate any age level and beginner, intermediate, or advanced students. She currentlly teaches Anusara based classes with vinyasa elements. Melissa thoroughly enjoys living on the west coast and loves to be outdoors. Along with yoga, she loves the beach, bike riding, and sailing.

Desert Yoga Therapy offers an ecclectic blend of classes with a therapeutic backdrop. Both community classes, small
semi-private group classes (6 maximum) and one-on-one yoga therapy based sessions are available in the Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs area. We also run retreats to Australia and Idyllwild for weekend and longer.

Fountain of Serenity Yoga is a uniquely different style of yoga that focuses on bringing the mind to the NOW with
the intent of reducing stress and instilling loving kindness, compassion and equanimity. It is taught by Yoga Master Kabir (Jaime Casellas, Ph.D.) who trained in Mindfulness in Medicine. He is a Kripalu Certified Instructor, registered under the Yoga Alliance.

• Ashtanga Yoga, meaning "eight-limbed yoga," according to the "The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali," is a method which involves synchronizing breath [pranayama] with movement [vinyasa] & incorporates focused gazing [drishti] with internal locks [bandhas]. The result is a challenging & dynamic sequence of postures [asanas] which flow from one to the next.
This practice, brought to the world by the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India, produces an intense internal heat & profuse sweating which purify & strengthen the body, resulting in improved circulation, a light, strong body & a calm mind.
