Yoga Upstairs offers a quiet, intimate setting with small classes for maximum individual attention. Yoga is an ancient
science combining body, mind and spirit. Consistent practice promotes flexibility, strength, balance and stress relief. Our teachers are compassionate, highly qualified and welcome people at all levels of ability to experience the joy of yoga.
Our studio has natural light, bamboo floor and a four panel yoga rope wall. We have ample props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, sand bags and chairs. Yoga mats are also available. So come with an empty stomach, wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothes and enjoy, yoga upstairs.

Hatha and vinyasa flow yoga classes - intro to level 3- are grounded in
the fundamentals of breath and alignment and is appropriate for students with very little yoga experience and for students who want a moderately or intensely paced class. Class instruction mixes the yang, or heat building aspects of vinyasa flow with the yin, or cool nature of deep stretch. Students will strengthen and stretch muscles through heat-building vinyasa that links movement into and out of poses with the breath. Increased strength helps support our bodies as we gain flexibility in the connective tissues of our hips, lower spine and elsewhere through poses passively held for longer durations. By extending how long some poses are held, we invite the release of both physical and emotional pain associated with connective tissues, which enhances our wellbeing. Attention is given to providing modification options for injuries and health conditions, as well as developing our self-realization and being present during practice.

Our large Hot Room features a state-of-the-art heating/humidification system, anti-bacterial carpeting, and an ionization system to keep our room sanitized. The focus is on building and engaging your core strength to support you for more advanced postures. Set to energizing music, my class strengthens, balances, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind.
