Bhaktivedanta Yoga classes include guided deep relaxation, Surya Namaskara (the sun salutation flow of postures to
warm the body), Pranayama (expansive breathing practices), and at least 12 main classical Hatha yoga postures (asanas) that regulate all of the functions of the physical body as well as purify the Astral channels (Nadis) and balance one's life force (Prana). The yoga class environment provides an ideal situation for the transformational powers of meditation to take place, as well as a healing, deep relaxation that can restore health and well being. During deep relaxation, students are serenaded by the singing of healing mantras and devotional songs (bhajans) accompanied by the heavenly sounds of harmonium (portable organ) performed by Yoga Praveena Vishnu Das.
All are welcome to attend. There are no levels in Bhaktivedanta Yoga classes because true progress is marked by a subtle inner spiritual process rather than just by greater flexibility or physical stamina. Being able to hold a posture steadily and comfortably and meditate within the pose is the truest evidence of advancement within Bhaktivedanta Yoga, not to mention greater awareness and the presence of spiritual virtues like peace, joy, patience, kindness, compassion, wisdom, discrimination, and love.

Yoga and Ayurveda is an adaptive and dynamic form of yoga that is a complete (Raja) approach to practice. Every class
includes 5 main components: postures, various breathing exercises, the art of relaxation, concentration techniques, and deep meditation. The classes teach the practitioner how to truly master their body, calm the mind and find the peace of the soul. There is a strong therapeutic aspect that includes a cleansing sweat, mind clearing through powerful breathing exercises and teaching the art of true relaxation. We fully embrace Hatha yoga and Raja yoga to give you a great experience every time.
As a transformational coach, I help provide the tools necessary to transcend into a more fulfilled life. Yoga is used
as a self assessment. What do we need in order to become more fulfilled? Sometimes its physically activating the body. My sessions incorporate my background in personal training. Sometimes to become fulfilled we need to connect to our higher selves, in which case meditation, reiki, body massage and other techniques are used.
