age of 14. Originally trained as a dancer, he began teaching Pilates in 1987. In 2004 David completed Alison West's Yoga Union teacher training and then continued studying other forms of alignment based Yoga . David holds degrees in literature, dance history, and library science. He is the author of the poetry collection Lateral Psalms, and was a consultant to Ellen Saltonstall on her Anatomy Teacher Training Manual. David works privately and in groups with students who have chronic physical and psychological challenges. Blending Classic Ashtanga practices with Iyengar practices creates a yoga experience that can be of great benefit everyone. Excellent verbal cues along with gentle adjustments and modification techniques allow each individual to find their own personal level of practice. I am an experienced certified 500 Hour Master Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. My formal training and teaching experience includes a wide variety of yoga styles and practices that include: Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Therapy, Meditation, Chair Yoga, Yoga for Parkinson’s, Yoga for Diabetes, and Yoga for Osteoporoses. Yoga has had a profound effect on my life and I am a practicing yogi. My yoga journey began when my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Searches for alternative therapies for Parkinson’s disease often led to yoga. I learned of the amazing benefits and began a consistent personal yoga practice. Through the practice of yoga I personally have overcome several physical as well as personal challenges. My love of yoga and a burning desire to help others led me to become a yoga teacher. It is my wish to share this healing practice with others. Yoga Venice FL @ FaceBook
