We welcome you to our 2 hour long hatha yoga classes (consisting of asanas, pranayama and meditation) at the Hindu
Temple of Greater Chicago. We are fortunate to have serene peaceful meditative place for practicing Yoga surrounded by wonderful Yoga practitioners like you in every class. From time to time we also have many Yoga workshops, events and discourses at the HTGC by many excellent teachers from India and around the world.
Anu is a Vivekananda Yoga Center trained yoga teacher from India & has tought from her yoga studio at Pune,India for
six years.In Chicago she completed her Registered Teacher Training Course from Lotus Yoga Center, Palatine while teaching at various health centers since 2004. Her teaching includes various therapeutic yoga sets, breathing exercises, sun salutations,laughter yoga, chakra meditation, cleansing techniques and also an understanding of the yoga philosophy & yogic energy centers of the body.
We are a company of certified Yoga Teachers who teach in the community. We teach at local park districts, in local
churches, at Senior Centers and Assisted Living facilities, in local schools and corporations. Our teaching levels range from Mom and Tot Classes to Senior Chair Yoga classes and everything in between. We specialize in a fun safe Yoga practice for all. contemporary style of yoga, the asanas practiced are not new. The poses themselves remain the same, but the transition from one to the next allows for a more aerobic, fat-burning workout.
We embrace the conventional asanas of Yoga, and add to it an element of fun through upbeat music and environment. Many traditional poses, called Asanas, are thousands of years old. It is worth saying that yoga is not a lifestyle, but a means to a healthier way of life.
