We welcome you to our 2 hour long hatha yoga classes (consisting of asanas, pranayama and meditation) at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago. We are fortunate to have serene peaceful meditative place for practicing Yoga surrounded by wonderful Yoga practitioners like you in every class. From time to time we also have many Yoga workshops, events and discourses at the HTGC by many excellent teachers from India and around the world.
Anu is a Vivekananda Yoga Center trained yoga teacher from India & has tought from her yoga studio at Pune,India for six years.In Chicago she completed her Registered Teacher Training Course from Lotus Yoga Center, Palatine while teaching at various health centers since 2004. Her teaching includes various therapeutic yoga sets, breathing exercises, sun salutations,laughter yoga, chakra meditation, cleansing techniques and also an understanding of the yoga philosophy & yogic energy centers of the body.
Bikram Yoga is in a heated room of 105' with 30-40% humidity. It is 90 minutes consisting of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. It works all parts of your body from the inside out. It uses all your muscles, organs, and joints.
