Yoga Among Friends was established in 1998. Here, we honor the traditional practice of yoga under the umbrella of
Krishamachaga. We follow the teachings of Mr. Iyengar, Patti Jois, and TKV Deskichar. Our mission is to encourage our students to discover inner peace and mental well-being through a regular practice, using the tools of yoga. These tools are not limited to the physical body. We honor all the tools including meditation, visualization, breath, chanting, and self-reflection, in order to remove the agitations of our daily thoughts and bring peace to our lives.

This Vinyasa yoga class consists of basic to intermediate poses sequenced at a moderate pace. Vinyasa (or “flow”)
yoga links breath with movement to create a flowing meditation in movement. Modifications are given for beginner students and variations are offered for more advanced yogis. We will integrate postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation into the class. Benefits include building strength, improving flexibility and balance. It is a wonderful way to manage stress and reduce tension. For beginner to intermediate students. Bring a towel or mat to class!
