Caitlin teaches Slow Flow, Dynamic Flow, Core Fusion and the Sunday Sadhana classes at The Yoga Room. All of her
classes are musically motivated, and draw their inspiration from the circumstances unfolding in the world and from her life. She is inspired by many different types of music and movement and holds great reverence for the rituals found within the spiritual practices of life. She is known as much for her athletic and creative sequencing as for her animated enthusiasm for alignment and dorky passion for anatomy. She draws on her skills as a massage therapist whenever making hands-on adjustments in her classes, and believes the enjoyment of her students’ experience should be second only to their safety. Caitlin’s classes are accessible to all levels of practitioners, but are known to be invigorating and challenging. Caitlin is also available for private and semi-private instruction at your home, on at The Yoga Room.
Our Yoga classes are part of an overall program of wellness and fitness. The yoga practice is rooted in Hatha, but
varies class to class, as each group that gathers to practice is unique. I base my classes on the belief that breath and movement in, through and out of asanas helps us to make sense of life by opening to the intelligence and wisdom of body and breath, and then, as one's practice deepens, there is no need to make sense of life- there is being in it. Most classes are beginner level- introducing yoga to those who have been fearful, or feel that they can not do it. They come to find that there is no such thing as not being able to.
