Darlene is certified in Hatha, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. She completed her 500hr advanced yoga teacher training, holds an additional 200 hr certification in Pre/Postnatal yoga, and is registered with Yoga Alliance as RYT500. Darlene currently offers classes at The Yoga Center of Columbia and runs "Yoga and Massage for Labor and Birth" workshops about every 6wks alternating between Crofton Yoga and The Yoga Center of Columbia. The workshop provides hands-on, practical techniques for moms-to-be and their partners in preparation for labor and delivery.
Darlene is also a licensed massage therapist with a specific certification in prenatal/postnatal massage. She offers Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and Pregnancy massage.

I teach Thai Yogassage Weekend Trainings at various travel locations as a representative of the Vedic Conservatory. I also develop and teach workshops in Hands-On Yoga Assisting for Yoga Teachers, and Yoga Therapy Workshops for Everyone (for specific areas/complaints, such as Neck & Shoulders, Hips and Low Back). The Avalon Yoga and Wellness Center offers classes in two serene and intimate spaces where students easily feel at home.
