Karma Yoga offers a wide variety of yoga classes and workshops with an emphasis on the Ashtanga Yoga System. In addition we offer Vinyasa, Anusara Yoga, Yogateers and our exclusive "Yoga By Design," a personalized Yoga Therapy Program. Yoga is effective as a supportive adjunct to mitigate some mental health conditions, but not yet a proven stand-alone,
curative treatment. This is why we implement CBT and Positive Psychology as a larger-scale and more rigorous intervention. Talk and yoga therapy combined has the potential to be implemented as a beneficial supportive/adjunct treatment that is relatively cost-effective. These can be practiced at least in part as a self-care behavioral treatment providing life-long behavioral skills, enhanceing self-efficacy and self-confidence. It is often associated with additional positive side effects.

Of course we're going to offer the traditional classes, we love those and don't think that they should be forgotten because of all of the useful attributes and benefits to the body that it provides. medically based program that enhances health, rehabilitates and prevents future injury and illness. The programs are diverse in nature, and address both the physical and psychological needs of various medical conditions. All YogaMedics protocols are evidence-based, consistent with traditional clinical treatment models, and delivered by trained and certified YogaMedics expert professionals. Vita is the wellness center located within Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. All yoga classes at Vita are designed
to focus on the health benefits of yoga and are adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Massage therapy and integrated medicine services are also offered. All students have access to our Aqua Therapy Suite, including whirlpool and dry sauna. Fresh fruit and assortment of teas are offered. Class space is limited, and reservations are strongly suggested.

I am an ERYT, RCYT, RPYT and Master Level Reiki Practitioner trained through Beaumont Hospital. I teach both day
and evening classes from my home in SW Troy in addition to being a faculty member at Beaumont School of Yoga Therapy where I train future yoga teachers at the RYT 200 level. I also teach classes open to the public through Beaumont and to specific patient populations at Beaumont Rose Cancer Center and the Beaumont Health Center.
