The Stone Yoga Method blends the teachings of Structural Yoga with three respected lineages: the breath-centered, highly adaptive approach of Viniyoga as taught by Krishnamacharya, the time-honored wisdom of Ayurveda, and the organic movements of Feldenkrais. We also draw upon a thorough understanding of contemporary treatment approaches. Across all our classes, from the gentlest to the most challenging, our instructors are guided by this consistent methodology, which is strengthening, mindful, and deeply respectful of each student’s individual needs. We offer hatha, vinyasa, power, sculpt, “hot,” gentle, stress reducing, and therapeutic yoga classes, Pilates, and private sessions. We also bring yoga, meditation, and stress reduction programs to corporations, non-profit organizations, and schools. Whichever program you attend, you are welcomed with warmth and acceptance, in a supportive, non-competitive environment of inclusiveness and encouragement.

Most recently, I enhanced my education to focus on Structural yoga, more suitable for the not-so-flexible, more common physique we see more often in class. I understand the severity of chronic back/body pain, and the limitations it can have on one's ability to function at a normal capacity. Together we will focus on strengthening the spinal muscles, as well as the abdominal wall, and include various asanas which will lengthen and tone your muscles.
