Tara Grando J.D., RYT 500
Fortunate enough to find a true community and a truly special and beautiful place among
the Long Island yoga community she competed her 200-hour teacher training in 2011. Firmly believing in the idea that a person will be most successful (in all aspects) by doing that which they love to do most, her main goal as a yoga teacher is simply to share. Tara's classes are about the people that are in them and the community she wants to share with them. She holds authenticity, honesty, love, patience, and compassion above all else and strives to give fully of herself in every single class. She adores music and believes there is a synergistic effect where sound and movement combine, because of this she strives to use music and environment in her classes such that the sum is greater than the parts. Tara is passionate, loving, enthusiastic, and especially, sincerely grateful for the awesome opportunity she is presented with in having a chance to share of herself and whatever she has to give with you. Tara currently teaches classes several times a week in the Western Long Island Rockville Centre area and practices on a daily basis. She aims to go to at least one big yoga festival a year (Wanderlust VT 2011. Telluride Yoga Festival 2010 where she has been blessed to take classes with outstanding teachers including Elena Brower – Wanderlust VT and NYC, John Friend, Amy Ippoliti - Telluride, Richard Freeman, Rodney Yee, Schuyler Grant, Bryan Kest – Wanderlust and Long Island, NY workshop 2011, Alana Kaivalya, Seane Corn, Scott Blossom, Chandra Easton. She is currently enrolled in a yoga alliance certified 500 teacher training and expects to graduate June, 2013.
