I teach a gentle yoga class to a wide range of people in sports centers, community centers, hospitals, and senior centers. I work with all kinds of common medical issues such as low back, knee, arthritis, etc. In the past year I have put together a class for men, which has helped them play sports and be aware of their limitations, resulting in fewer injuries. I can also work with more serious medical issues privately. The yoga class explores and promotes your own knowledge of your body and facilitates a personal understanding of your body.

Yoga Haven offers the following classes: level 1 (basic), level 2 (intermediate), level 3 (advanced) prenatal, postnatal, kids and teens, extra gentle classes and meditation. Many styles of yoga or represented including, vinyasa (flow), Iyengar, Viniyoga, OM Yoga, Ansusara, Be Yoga and meditation. Yoga Haven also offers a 200 hour teacher training and workshops. There are two studios, private yoga sessions, massage and acupuncture. Yoga props are available in class and are for sale. Yoga Haven is community oriented. Greetings from New York. I offer a variety of classes in the lower Westchester area, ranging from chair yoga, restorative yoga, and extra gentle classes to beginner and intermediate vinyasa. I am also available for private lessons. My students have included seasoned practitioners and novices, eager teenagers, and savvy seniors (both active and sedentary). I enjoy helping my students develop flexibility and strength, but most important, I hope my students leave class feeling relaxed and ready to share a smile.

I am certified to teach Restorative yoga by Judith Hanson Lasater; I've also completed the prenatal yoga teaching program taught by Janice Clarfield. Bikram Yoga is a series of 26 postures "asanas" performed in a heated room, which allows the body to become more warm, pliable and relaxed. An oasis for vitality and tranquility, The Yoga Sanctuary offers yoga, pilates and massage. Classes range from gentle to vigorous flow yoga, pilates mat classes as well as one-on-one training on apparatus, and personalized massage. In an effort to fully serve the community, we offer special programs such as Nurturing Motherhood which consists of prenatal yoga on Saturdays. Greg O'Donovan earned his Yoga Certification under Swami Kripalu at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in the Berkshires. He's taught throughout the tri-State area, including to inmates at a New York City prison. Classes are Sat. 1:30 PM, Sunday at 3 PM, Monday at 6:15 PM.
