Bear's Den Cottages, located on 200 private acres of woodlands and meadows (with trails)offers a 10-person lodge catering to yoga/spa retreats, spiritual retreats, birding/nature retreats. A large open space is available for yoga practices. Large picture windows are all around main level to observe nature and allow natural light to pour in while doing yoga. Wonderful spaces indoors and outdoors for yoga and meditation. Come with a yoga/pilates class in which you participate or come with a group of yoga/pilates friends. It doesn't matter if you've been doing yoga for years or have never done it before. We have instructors who come to the Lodge for either yoga or pilates classes/retreats. Certified yoga instructor Mickey Hartung has been teaching self-understanding, acceptance and awareness through the
practices of yoga and meditation since 1998. Emphasizing a contemplative and non-competitive approach, her classes are an eclectic blend of conscious breathing, deep stretching and posture flow; restorative yoga (deeply relaxing poses of stillness using the support of props); yin yoga (which targets the connective tissue in the joints); and mindfulness meditation. Monday 6:00-7:30pm. The classes are offered year round at the beautiful, quiet and spacious Goslin Nature Center located at Alley Park in Lancaster. Heather Church, E-RYT 200, is certified in Integrative Yoga Therapy and teaches from this perspective, as well as
incorporating Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. Practices are always well rounded, challenging students to find their edge while respecting their bodies and most classes are heart-centered, philosophy based and introspective in nature. An Adjunct Faculty Member on three Ohio University campuses (Chillicothe, Lancaster and Pickerington), Heather teaches classes to the students there, as well as offering community group classes and individual yoga sessions in her home studio.
Constance teaches a blended, restorative and meditative style of Yoga which encourages self awareness and listening
to ones own body. She obtained her 200 RYT-National Yoga Alliance Certification from The Living Yoga Program in Austin, TX. and her 500 RYT from Wise Ways in Columbus, OH. She is a member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists and is Relax & Renew Certified, via Judith Lasater. She holds weekly classes, workshops and retreats.
