Rebel Yoga is a wonderful community resource that combines practicing yoga with giving back to those in need. Brent
Sloan, the founder of Rebel Yoga, is passionate about the impact yoga can have on children and adolescents, those with special needs, and individuals who are struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. Because of this, Rebel Yoga has become a space that allows yoga to be accessible to everyone and focuses on giving back to the community.
For many who come to Rebel Yoga, it is important for them to feel safe in the environment, with other participants, and within their bodies. Because of this, instructors focus on the idea that yoga should be a vigorous and playful experience. It is not about being perfect, being in competition, or looking like someone else. This philosophy can be felt in all classes, where you will find participants welcoming and encouraging one another. Rebel Yoga is about freedom, moving past the constraints of the mind and allowing grace to guide your movements. Yoga allows you to go beyond your comfort zone and challenging your body, mind and spirit.
