class can be a more vigorous routine, using a flowing sequence of postures to generate body heat, which purifies the body through sweating and deep breathing. Classes are modified for all student levels. Natasha infuses her decade long practice with her dance training for an invigorating yet focused experience. At the Self Centre we practice balance through movement and breath.
Queen Street Yoga is a haven of sunshine, quiet, and wide open space in the heart of downtown Kitchener. Founded in
2005 by owner/director Meaghan Johnson, QSY has become known in the community for its alignment based approach to yoga. With beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings and a cozy meditation room, QSY is a place where people of varied demographics come together to learn and grow through the practices of yoga, meditation and creative arts.
We offer challenging and accessible, alignment based yoga at many different levels. Our teachers draw on their various studies in Anusara, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Kripalu to bring their students a rich and informed perspective on the practice of yoga. Our core commitment is to offer our students a diverse approach to the practice of yoga. Whether you are challenging yourself in a handstand or nurturing yourself in a restorative pose, our classes are designed to meet you in your practice and offer space to grow.
