The Yoga Center is a space dedicated to the study and practice of hatha yoga. Instructors follow the Iyengar tradition
in their daytime and evening classes. Beginning and Continuing level classes are available. Each class is designed to help students build strength and gain flexibility through concentration and precise action. The Center is fully equiped with props including a rope wall. Classes are ongoing and anyone is welcome to drop in on individual classes or register for a series of six classes.
PYTA Yoga, pronounced (Pit-Uh )is unique in that all classes are taught in a semi-private setting by physical therapists
who have trained under Ginger Garner’s Professional Yoga Therapy curriculum. This curriculum provides educational competencies for licensed health care professionals in using Yoga as medicine. The instructors, who have over 1000 hours of post graduate PYT training, offer therapeutic yoga assessments, individualized plans, and guided therapeutic yoga sessions catering to a variety of client needs.
The small class size (8-10) allows the instructor the freedom to offer hands- on adjustments, myofascial release and an abundance of education in each class. We incorporate the emotional, social, intellectual, physical and spiritual aspects of wellness in our classes and encourage it in everyday living.
Our classes range from PYT SPORT, where Ironman, Ex-Pro Cyclist and marathoners deepen their practice to PYT Level 1 where beginners or someone with an acute injury can safely start their journey with yoga.
With the expert supervision of our Physical Therapists at PYTA, anyone and everyone can safely practice evidence based sound yoga to achieve their goals.
