We specialize in traditional Yoga, specifically a Hatha form called Yoga Pranala (which is made up of pranayama[controlled
breathing], meditation, the asanas [poses], Yoga Nidra, and energy movements. Through a focus on breath and prana, Yoga Pranala allows the yogi/yogini to achieve a higher awareness of the heart through breath and thinking and sensing. In Balinese lotars, pra means first; prana means power; nala means inner fire; and pranala means circulation. Therefore prana can be understood as first unity of (energy) spirit. Through the practice of Yoga Pranala, we can increase prana, vitality, flexibility, and a greater awareness of body, soul, and mind.
The studio, styled with decor from India and Indonesia and with dark hardwood floors, has a peaceful, Eastern ambiance and is truly a sanctuary for Yoga. Traditional classes are suitable for beginner and intermediate students,& some specialty classes will be offered for those who suffer from fibromyalgia, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis as well as those who wish for a more gentle,relaxing practice of Yoga. Trudy Miller. In Viniyoga the focus is on increasing our strength, balance and flexibility using breath and movement with repetition. The Practice is designed to meet your individual levels of ability and increase them at your own pace. The yoga class is 60 minutes concluding with an additional 15 minutes of meditative relaxation. Classes are hald at Federal Way Naturopathy Clinic 900 So 336th St. In March of 2015 the classes will be held on Monday evenings from 6pm to 7:15pm April of 2015 on Wednesday evenings 6pm - 7:15 pm through July.
