All are welcome to join our 8th annual free outside summer yoga asana meet-up comprised of those who want a basic
understanding, intermediates aspiring to new levels and experienced individuals who like to practice in a group environment. The asana series flows at a steady pace in the flavor of Ashtanga Vinyasa allowing practitioners of various levels to participate together as we link movement with breath to foster strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, relaxation and self-awareness. Wear unrestrictive loose fit clothing in layers. Bring a yoga mat, water, friends/family/coworkers a smile and forward this message as you like. Where: Hamilton Boulevard & South Ott St. (Cedar Beach Park, volleyball court) 10:30 am Sunday mornings from 06/01/14 - 08/31/14. If entering from Ott St.; park in the swimming pools parking lot, walk past the basketball courts, rest rooms and look for a bunch of friendly’s with yoga mats mauling around the fenced in volleyball courts. Note: Everyone is welcomed to check out a class to see if it’s a complimentary practice to work into, realize there are many varieties of yoga asana practices ranging from slow restorative to fast flowing athletic, we tend to do a moderate flowing pace. Dr. Shekhar Annambhotla has been practicing and teaching Ayurveda since 1988. He began his eight-year course of study
in Ayurvedic medicine at the age of 17, first at Nagarjuna University and then at Gujarat Ayurved University in India, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda. He traveled extensively throughout Europe, West Indies and North America for seven years, practicing and teaching Ayurveda. He teaches therapeutic yoga and the application of Ayurvedic principles and knowledge for yoga teachers and practitioners. Dr. Shekhar in depth Ayurvedic and Panchakarma training and treatment programs in India.
