Come practice the art of Yin Yoga in the original style that it was derived from. Initially developed as flexibility
training for martial arts, this style of yoga is all about how the body feels rather than looks, helping you to learn your own intuitive sense of moving fluidly and gracefully. You will feel your hips, spine, hamstrings, and shoulders relax open as you smoothly flow into simple, long-held postures that target the joints and connective tissues. With an emphasis on letting go, Improvement comes quickly with very little practice, and you will find new levels of flexibility whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Jivamukti Yoga Charleston offers vigorously physical and intellectually stimulating yoga classes. The emphasis is on
teaching yoga as a spiritual practice. Classes consists of vinyasa (flowing asana sequences), hands-on adjustments, pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, Sanskrit chanting, yoga philosophy, and deep relaxation. To keep the practice unanticipated, asana sequences are ever-changing. Uplifting and inspirational music from Krishna Das to Michael Franti plays an integral role in class.
