"Carrie was my inspiration to become a teacher from the first time I took class with her. She has a knack for sharing information and experience in a clear, focused and interesting way. The best part is that she teaches with a sense of play - having fun, you absorb more information than you thought possible!" - T. Binns
ABOUT THE TRAINING This transformational yoga teacher training is ideal for aspiring teachers and dedicated students. This program is approved by the Yoga Alliance and is focused on providing you with all the tools you need to start your path as a confident, accomplished and thoughtful vinyasa yoga teacher. A major part of this training focuses on drawing forth your personal strengths, creativity, knowledge and voice. By the time you graduate you will be fully prepared to teach classes in a multi-level format for all levels of skill from gentle to power.
Rasamaya translates as “fluid” and serves as the bridge between Western Anatomy & Eastern yogic philosophy. This extraordinary course is dedicated to educating you about the balance between flow and stillness as explored through the lens of the rasas (major emotions), the chakra system, physical theatre and dynamic anatomy. You will learn how to subtly work philosophy, meditation, inspiration and pranayama into your classes to create an incredible well rounded journey for your students.
We believe in paying it forward. A portion of all teacher trainings benefit the work of the Sonoma Ashram Foundation.
“Carrie is extremely supportive of new yoga teachers, and encourages people to explore their own expressiveness in their teaching” - R. Saul

ABOUT STAR ISLAND Travel back in time to the beautiful, rustic and rugged Star Island on the Isles of Shoals. Owned and operated since 1915 by the nonprofit Star Island Corporation to provide religious, educational, personal, and family retreat experiences for those attending weekly conferences or visiting the Island. The Isles of Shoals offer a glimpse of life as it was in the 19th century from the stone fishing village, to the porch rockers, and the chapel lit only by candlelight. Here you can leave 21st century technology and demands behind as time stands still. Star Island becomes a lifelong tradition for many folks who come back, year after year, to experience the island magic with their families, generation to generation. Once you’ve come, you’ll remember Star for a lifetime. The cry of the gulls, the pristine beauty, the history, will stay with you long after you return home. Star Island has been host to Rasamaya’s Annual Yoga Retreat for the last 11 years and is one of Carrie’s favorite places on the planet.
