|Teaching yoga consists of more than simply the skills required to perform asanas correctly or knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ultimately, the path to teaching yoga with awareness and understanding involves deepening your own practice.
Byron Yoga Centre’s 12 day Intensive Level 2 Teacher Training Course is part A of the fully accredited 300 hour (Yoga Alliance) course. Part B is conducted by correspondence and includes maintaining a journal of self practice. Part B non-residential is included in the cost. The preparation / study for the 12 day Level 2 Teacher Training Course begins 4 weeks before course commencement date, then continues by correspondence after the intensive at a personal pace, for as long as the trainee needs.
The course is designed to deliver holistic training that encompasses the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the yogic path. Completion of Level 1 and Level 2, will facilitate the 500 hours of yoga teacher training recognized by Yoga Alliance and eligibility for recognition by the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. The course is one of the first Australian Yoga Teacher Training courses accredited by Yoga Alliance as a 500 hour RYT. This represents a very high qualification in yoga teaching that is recognised both in Australia and internationally. The course is also Fitness Australia approved for 15 CEC's.
