Basic ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training Course:
THE CHILDLIGHT CHILDREN'S YOGA TEACHER TRAINING is an incredibly fun, interactive and educational experience! A passion for yoga and a love for children is at the core of this training. This basic, yet thorough, children's yoga teacher training program is designed to provide yogis (at least 1 yr. of study of asanas, pranayama & basic yogic philosophy is suggested - it is not required that you be a RYT) with the tools and knowledge needed to share the gifts of yoga with children.
Training addresses teaching yoga to children ages 2-teens, with a concentration on ages 2-12yrs. Whether you are seeking to incorporate what you learn into your current work with children, or whether you are looking to teach yoga to children as a career, the CLY Teacher Training will provide you with the information and inspiration necessary to begin doing so immediately.
Includes 17 contact hours, comprehensive, fully-illustrated ChildLight Yoga Instructor Manual, many useful handouts, the corresponding CD of Yoga Songs for Children, certification administration and materials, membership in the CLY Instructor community, and much more. In addition to recommended resources and other teaching materials, ChildLight Yoga's signature T-shirts for babies, children and adults may also be available for purchase at the trainings (please note size on the registration form to ensure size availability).
CEUs, PDPs, and Yoga Alliance credit hours: Participants who complete the ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training are eligible to receive 1.5 CEUs from the University of Southern Maine (USM). Please notify us in advance if a form is required to receive CEUs. These will be collected at the training, along with a $20 processing fee payable to USM. Registered yoga teachers are eligible for continuing education contact hours through Yoga Alliance. Professional Development Points (PDPs) may also be available through your employer.
As each credentialing organization has their own requirements, you should confirm with them that your training hours will apply toward your degree or continuing education requirements. Application for accreditation from these organizations is your responsibility. Additional fees may be required.
