As the days grow shorter and the air becomes cooler, we begin to turn inward, preparing for the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. This is the perfect time to restore your inner flame with a gentle practice that releases tension, stretches muscles, and nurtures the soul. Join Stacey Beth Shulman for a class series that explores the quieter side of yoga and connect to the light within yourself.

The internal organs associated with the inward contraction of autumn are the large intestines and lungs. Slow flowing movements, which we call Kriyas, can help to detoxify these organs and release any emotions that may be stuck there. As the energy in our body flows more freely, our thinking becomes clearer and we may begin to feel a renewed sense of motivation and optimism.

This class will include gentle Kriyas and longer-held supported Yin postures to create a practice that is both spiritual and therapeutic. Discover the benefits that gentle stretching and supported stillness can bring, including increased flexibility and a calmer mind. People of all shapes and sizes are always welcome.
