For students who wish to assist others in taking control of their own health with low-cost effective strategies. Yoga teachers, practitioners in health and helping professions, meditation teachers, spiritual healers, Reiki masters, therapeutic body workers, therapists, as well as those considering a second career in health will find this program useful.
• Study the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda that make a difference in self care and caring for others. • Learn the science of Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation • Learn how to improve strength, range of movement, address structural imbalance, and alleviate chronic pain. • Assess individual’s Ayurvedic mind-body type and state of balance or imbalance. • Learn to select, modify, and adapt basic movement sequences, asanas, and meditation, to restore balance • Hands-on practice of marma pressure for the doshas. • Customize your own wellness program including diet, lifestyle, yoga and meditation.

Heather Greaves, E-RYT 500 is certified as a Professional Yoga Therapist at the 1000-hour level with Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT). In 1998 she received her certification as a Hatha Yoga teacher from the Esther Myers Yoga Studio. She is also certified as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
Heather started her business because she wanted to create a safe environment where people could learn how to take better care of their bodies, emotions, mind, and relationships, and help others do the same. She has been training yoga teachers in a Yoga Alliance certified program since 2005. Her practice and teaching is influenced by her training in Polarity Therapy, Ayurveda, and Somatic Experiencing. She is a professional member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Dr. Jim Lamontagne attended McMaster University and graduated from The National College of Chiropractic in Chicago Illinois in 1982. Dr. Jim has had a chiropractic practice in Hamilton for over twenty five years. Dr. Jim's experience includes working with Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Hamilton Seekers Volleyball Club, Hamilton Olympic Track and Field athletes, and he was chosen to be on the Canadian Medical Team for the 2003 Pan-American Games in Santo Domingo.
He is a mentor for The Wellwood Cancer Support Center and is on the Board of Directors for Sport Hamilton. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University in the Department of Family Medicine.
Jivasu’s (Pradeep Kumar) teachings are named as Naturality. Naturality is to ‘to live according to our innate nature’. Jivasu is a well known meditation teacher. Jivasu is a physician from India. While working as voluntary medical doctor along with his wife Karen, in Sivananda ashram, he experienced his first awakening which culminated in the state of ‘wholeness’. Currently Jivasu is practicing and teaching acupuncture in McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. His teachings synthesize the insights of yoga, ayurveda, meditation and acupuncture with biology and science. He has also studied Mind-Body Medicine at Harvard University.
He is the author of many books including: Meditation: A Path of Wellness, Authenticity and Freedom, Chakras: Centers of Evolution and Involution, Freedom from Fear and Naturality.
