Larry Schultz created the Rocket routine, a series of postures based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary and intermediate series. The perfect marriage of tempo and sequence. These advanced routines are appropriate for all levels levels of students. With plenty of ways to modify the classical poses, the benefits of the poses are transmitted equally to renew vitality and energy.

This vibrant routine is called the “Rocket” because, “it gets you there faster.” The Rocket is designed to wake up the nervous system and feed it the precious prana it craves while promoting a spirit of change and freedom in the practice.

Teach the Rocket

Our intensives our designed to share and breakdown the world famous Rocket Routines. They are physically awakening and mind soothing with enhanced drills, core routines and modifications to support students in deepening their experience with the advanced poses of the Ashtanga System. 10 day sessions break-down the Rocket 1 and 2 routines.

Purpose Statement

The Purpose of this training is to invite students into the mechanical brainwork of the Rocket Series. Appropriately dubbed the “feel-good” routine, the sequence and philosophy are well thought out, and proven to be effective over years of experience practicing in this system. These ground-breaking routines approaches the Ashtanga Vinyasa system in an open, fun and challenging way.

The Training

You will learn the Rocket routine in detail, learn the mechanics of “flying”, and learn the method and nuances helpful in teaching the Rocket. A Rocket video and training manual come as part of the curriculum. The daily schedule will be:

9:00-10:30: Silent Practice/Follow the Yogi 11:30-1: Observe class 1:30-4:30: Practicum 5-6:30/5:30-7: Practice
