The Ashram Retreat is a retreat designed for beginners and experienced yoga & meditation practitioners.
It is a 7 days journey where you will be guided deep inside yourself by following a series of different practices aimed at removing physical and mental tension.
Body awareness, reflection, concentration and meditation will help you getting in touch with your inner self. The result will be peace, rest and relaxation.
The morning practice starts with silent meditation and chanting, followed by a gentle yoga class including breathing techniques, yoga postures and relaxation techniques to nourish the body and relax the mind.
The class is followed by a tasty nutritious vegetarian brunch, a short break, a lecture covering different aspects of yoga, and karma yoga.
Karma Yoga (selfless service) is practiced to get us used to be of service to others without expectation, with the purpose of helping to remove the ego. Karma Yoga duties vary daily from serving food to help with cleaning, gardening, etc. The time spent during Karma Yoga also varies depending on the duty and it is never longer than one hour.
A long afternoon break is a must to sun bathe, swim, relax, have a massage or just take a rest.
The afternoon class explains the effect of each posture on the body systems; the class also includes theory and practice of mudras, bhandas and more advanced breathing techniques.
