We stay 6 nights at Sangsurya Retreat, a beautiful 10 acre retreat within walking distance to Byron Bay and the beaches with a large wooden floor yoga hall, ozone pool, nature trails, ocean views dinning area and in-house massage & spa treatments.

ABOUT THE YOGA: Yoga is taught by Jessie Chapman and the experienced Radiance teachers who's inspirational Vinyasa / Hatha / Iyengar & Restoration Yoga classes are designed for all levels from the complete beginner to the more experienced practitioner. Yoga assistants give lots of individual attention and adjustments in the classes so everyone is well looked after.
ABOUT THE LOCATION & ACCOMMODATION: We stay at Sangsurya Retreat, a beautiful 10 acre natural wonderland eco retreat based a few kilometres outside of Byron Bay being a 25 min walk from the town centre and to beach. There is large wooden floor yoga space, ozone swimming pool, a relaxing dinning and lounge area with coastal views and in-house massage & spa treatments. Accommodation rooms are set in lovely hand built houses and cabins, each with their own unique flavour, that surround the yoga hall and pool. All rooms have aircon and ensuite bathrooms.
ABOUT THE FOOD: Our meals are lovingly prepared using fresh organic ingredients mainly sourced from the local area. The menu is abundant, delicious and healthy. This is not a fast so you won't go hungry, however we cut out meat, dairy foods, sugar and alcohol so your body will be lightly cleansing. Each morning after yoga we sip a fresh healthy juice before our lovely buffet breakfast. Lunch is another delicious meal and dinner often starts with a nutritious soup. Herbal teas and fruits are available throughout the retreat as well as purified drinking water. By the retreats end you'll be feeling energised, clear and nourished and you'll have lots of recipes and ideas for continuing your healthy eating at home.

EXTRA SPA & HEALING TREATMENTS: A spa menu will be emailed to you for extra massages and holistic treatments.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: arrival time on the first day is from 10 am onwards with a healthy buffet lunch available between 12 pm and 3 pm. The first yoga class and formal group welcome is at 5 pm allowing you time to arrive, get settled into your room, eat well and perhaps have a massage or swim. Due to flights people arrive at all different times in the day but aim to be there as early as possible so you have time to unwind and relax before yoga. Check-out of the resort and retreat end is 12 midday on the last day.
GETTING HERE: For those travelling by plane details are given upon registration re easy bus transfers direct to the retreat from Brisbane (2 hours from Sangsurya) or Coolangatta International Airports (1 hour from Sangsurya) or Ballina Domestic Airport (25 min from Sangsurya). Upon registration a detailed map is also emailed to you with instructions on how to get there by car.
