with Libbie Bridge, RYT, CYT Sunday, December 1, 3:00-5:00pm Blue Moon Studio, Exeter, NH

"In the Bhagavad Gita it is said that Karma Yoga is doing work, but with cleverness and as a science; knowing how to do work that will bring the greatest results. You must remember that all this work is simply to bring out the power of the mind which is already there . . ." Swami Vivekananda

The average American spends 93,600 hours at work during his or her lifetime. Whether it be duty to one's self, family, jobs, or community, work is a predominant part of our lives. Our work, or more specifically, our relationship to work, can be a big source of stress, but what if a shift in our perception could transform our relationship to work, and ultimately decrease our stress?

In this workshop, we will utilize the principles of Karma Yoga- the Yoga of action and selfless service- to explore ways to transform our actions into opportunities to see the bigger picture and accept certain tasks for the greater good. We will engage in discussion, gentle asana, and meditation. All of the practices will focus on an exploration of ways to transform our relationship with work. This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability. No prior yoga experience necessary. Libbie Bridge, RYT, CYT, is a graduate of the Yoga Life Institute's 200-hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training and 300-hour Comprehensive Yoga Therapy Programs. She is certified through the Yoga Alliance. For Libbie, Yoga is a lifelong journey. It has helped her to become more present, more patient, and better able to accept things as they are. She believes that we are all 'students of health' and that the yoga lifestyle holds great potential for health and well-being. In her classes and off the mat, Libbie hopes to provide a space for people to find their own way on the road to peace and health.
