Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair, or standing using a chair. It is a great way, for all those who are unable to practice other forms of yoga due to health problems, to have a full and rewarding yoga experience. Chair yoga participants benefit from many of the same postures, breathing and meditative techniques as non-chair yoga. Recently this type of yoga has been finding it's way to physical rehabilitation units as well as senior centers and assisted living facilities.
